A warm welcome, and excellent cuisine. I stayed on a midweek special tariff which was fantastic value for money. Oh, and the black pudding is to die for!
the hospitality tray was the best we have encountered .Breakfast was excellent. It was nice to be able to go for a swim and relax by the pool
Excellent welcome and first class food for dinner. Breakfast very good too. Room large and comfortable. Swimming pool outside but covered, not inside as mentioned; but still warm in late September.
The hotel had all the attributes of a quality hotel that still believed in old fashion virtues that most now seem to forget.
I enjoyed knowing I was being looked after wihtout someone constantly in my face. Quiet subtle quality
Super room and super food and super comfort in a peaceful rural setting!Cannot wait for the next time!
It is our 2nd time in the hotel and we love it because of its quality and the fact that it is around an area we like to visit from time to time
Quality comfortable room, shortbread biscuits, food, staff.
Flooding locally with many local roads closed making access very difficult, bit worrying for me arriving in the dark and not knowing the area.
Perfect location for a leasurely weekend in a fantastic Grade 2* listed property in the country. Friendly staff, nice large room with welcoming bowl of fruit and home made biscuits-old fashioned comforts brought back! Great food both evening meal in the Bistro Bar and the lovely breakfast. Could not fault-we will go back!!

Staff very helpful and capable. Room was beautiful. Set Menu Quality of food excellent. Shortbread in the room!
Swimming pool behind the hotel, didnt open till 8 in the morning which was too late for me as I had to leave by 8.30am for my first appointment.
Everything from when you arrive to when you departed was just right. First class customer service, food & characteristic comfortable bedrooms. Travelling all over the UK ervery day, every week this is most definitly in my TOP 10. I WILL be back, again & again.
Very pet friendly. Good parking and beautifully maintained grounds. Extremely well situated for day trips to the Cotswolds, Wales and sites to the south such as Bath.
Single glazing. Rooms might be quite cold in winter.
Was very comfortable and a good value for money, especially the extras in the room
Quality and furnishing of bedrooms, rural location with delightful duckpond.
